For over a decade we have hosted this tournament to honor and remember a five year old boy, Dalton Hinkle, who lost his life much, much too early.  Dalton was an exuberant young man, the youngest of five.  He had all older brothers.  His father and mother both supported and volunteered their time to the BGRA.  They always go above and beyond to do whatever they can for this community.  Dalton, like his brothers and parents loved baseball.  He would come to the Emmerich complex with his Dad often just to hang out the fields, and occasionally cause some mischief knowing full well he could always turn on that “I’m the youngest of five boys charm” and all would be forgiven.  We hope you will play this weekend with Dalton in the back of your minds.  Youth baseball is all about the kids.

Tournament Information

• We host A, B & C Brackets.
• Ages 8U through 14U
• All games played in close proximity to downtown Buffalo Grove
• All semifinal and final games played at our signature fields at the Emmerich field complex that boast lights, concessions, dugouts, batting cages, playground, and covered grandstands.
• Each team will be guaranteed 3 games minimum
• All Brackets with 8+ teams will be reseeded into two separate brackets after pool play (Gold & Silver).
• MVP Awards to one player from each team in Pool Play
• Awards given to 1st and 2nd place teams for all Playoff Brackets
• Gold and Silver Brackets for all Brackets with 8 or more teams
• Finals MVP Trophy to player from winning team

Festivities 

At our main fields, the Emmerich Park Complex, located at 150 Raupp Blvd, Buffalo Grove we will have several fun things for your teams and their families.  Please stop by!  Some of the fun includes:

• Grill and Concessions.  We have all sorts of great stuff to eat and drink including Dogs, Brats, Burgers, Chips, Power-Aid, Pop, etc.
• Outside Grills & Alcohol –  Sorry but we are not allowed to have any grills or alcohol at any of our fields.  We rent these fields from the Park District and we are strictly forbidden to have them on any Park District fields.  In addition, anyone caught using alcohol will be ejected for the remainder of the tournament. 

The tournament fee is $545 with a $45 early bird special if funds are received prior to January 1st. Multi-team discounts are available for clubs with three or more teams.
